St Peter

Quernmore Lancaster

St Peter's, Quernmore is a friendly welcoming church which seeks to share the love of God with our local community and the wider world. The church is situated in the Quernmore Valley about one mile from the village and approximately two and a half miles from the historic city of Lancaster. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside, referred to as the Gateway to the Lakes. The valley is well known for its 'walks'. The building was 150 years old in 2010 being the second church to be built on the site thanks to the good will of the Garnett family who chose to build the church rather than spend the money on a knighthood!

During the summer months the church is open to visitors at weekends, with two members of the congregation present to provide light refreshments and to engage in friendly chat.

We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful church and the beautiful area in which we live and work.

If you have any questions about our church, our worship or about weddings and baptisms please send us an e-mail from the Contact page.

'The Link' is the St Peter's parish magazine and it is published on a quarterly basis. All enquiries about  items for publication should be sent to [email protected]
