Cate made a semi-naked wedding cake for our special day. She was extremely reliable and professional, and ensured that the flowers used on the cake precisely matched those in my bouquet. The lemon and orange tiers tasted scrummy! Would definitely recommend Lilac House Cakes to anyone looking for someone who takes great care in what she does.

Cate made me a light fruit cake for my 16th birthday. It tasted delicious and looked better than anything I could ever have envisaged - with the deep blue anemones and delicate white flowers. I have complete trust in Cate's work and am always sure her creations will surpass my expectations! I have no hesitation in recommending her.

I contacted Cate to discuss a cake for my daughters 11th birthday. I wasn’t really sure what I was wanting but after talking it through with Cate we narrowed it down to some cupcakes and cakesicles. I emailed Cate (with very little notice) to see if she could provide and deliver a chocolate birthday cake to Lancaster Uni for my nephew, Tom. She did exactly as promised - the cake was 'amazing' despite him being half asleep when delivery was made on the morning of his birthday (the next day). Fantastic, swift and helpful service. I was organising this from Dubai on behalf of his grandparents in the UK so a bit convoluted but everything worked out perfectly thanks to Cate. Highly recommend.

Cates eye for detail is outstanding and she produced a beautifully detailed cake with a very personal touch that we very much appreciated. Incredibly easy to work with and fairly priced. Charlottes lemon cake tasted wonderful too, as did the red velvet cutting cake. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.... everyone at the party went into raptures so much so we didn’t want to cut the cake as it was so pretty. Thankyou so much Cate.

Cate, at the Lilac House, suggested cakes in jars as elegant but practical wedding favours. As expected, they tasted delicious - even after a 4 day quarantine period! They were perfect in every way - the size, the little keepsake jars, labels with the bride and groom’s initials. She really did think about all the finishing touches and even tied a wooden spoon to each jar with a coordinating silver ribbon. On behalf of everyone, thank you so much Cate.

We ordered a two tiered cake for my parents’ golden wedding anniversary celebration and it was both beautiful and delicious! We had two different flavours of cake (one chocolate, one lemon), to keep both young and old happy and both were equally delicious. The handcrafted flowers which topped the cake were very realistic and made a lovely memento. Cate kept in touch throughout the run up and even delivered the finished cake to the venue. Couldn’t have asked for more and I would definitely recommend!
